Getting To Singapore City / Around
Singapore International Airport (Changi) is located 18 kilometers from the commercial centre of Singapore and is one of the major aviation hubs in Asia. It is also the base for Singapore’s largest fleet,Singapore Airlines.
To / From the Airport
Taxis are available at the arrivals level. The journey to city costs between S$18.00 and S$32.00 and takes approximately 30 minutes.
Airport Shuttle service uses a 9-seater coach and serves all hotels in Singapore with the exception of Changi Village Hotel and hotels on the Sentosa Island. The service leaves every 15 minutes from 6am to midnight and 30 minutes at other hours. Chartering is available. Please approach the Airport Shuttle Counter on the arrivals level.

Train (MRT Station) is located under Terminals 2 and 3 and is linked to the arrivals and departures by escalators and lifts. The first train arrives at around 5.30 am and the last leaves at 11.15 pm
- A single fare to the city costs about S$2.70 (inclusive of S$1.00 refundable deposit) and takes approximately 27 minutes. Tickets are available at the station.
Public Bus service 36 goes to the city. The first bus arrives at around 6am and the last leaves at midnight.

Car Rental is available at the Arrival Hall. Opening times 7am to 11pm.

Singapore City By Bus:
Both air-conditioned and non air-conditioned buses operate services to all parts of Singapore on a regular basis. Buses are very comfortable, clean and depending on the distance travelled they are generally inexpensive. Note: exact fare must be given as no change is available or you could obtain a pre-paid bus card which is sold at most shops.
Singapore City BY MRT:
MRT (Underground Train) is the most convenient way to travel in Singapore. Service is fast, comfortable, clean and inexpensive. It operates at regular intervals of three to eight minutes from as early as 5.30 am to 12.30 am daily. Visit: www.smrt.com.sg
Singapore City By Taxi:
Taxis in Singapore use a meter and can be found almost everywhere on the out skirts of the city. Trying to acquire a taxi in the city during peak hours and heavy downpours can be much harder to find and it is recommended that you pre book a taxi before travelling. Singapore City By Boat:
Small Boats (Bumboats) are used like a type of bus service or can be hired to take you along the the river of Singapore, which make||s a great way to see the city. A regular ferry service also operates on longer journeys to the islands.
Singapore City Attractions
Singapore Zoo is truly a remarkable place to see and will keep the whole family occupied for the day. Classed as one of the best zoo||s in the world, all the animals are kept in spacious, landscaped enclosures simulating that of their natural habitat. There are over 2,500 animals with at least 300 different species such as chimpanzees, lions, polar bears, leopards, baboons and even a white rhino. The zoo also has a variety of carousel rides, guided tours and animal shows held daily.
Singapore Night Safari is located in the same place as Singapore Zoo and is the first wildlife park built for visitors to view the animals at night. With a special lighting system. Spectators are able to view over 1,000 nocturnal animals in their natural habitat. The Night Safari also has a vast array of entertainment such as a tribal performance show, Creatures of the Night Show, Leopard Trail and, tram rides, etc.
Asian Civilizations Museum (Empress Place) presents a broad yet integrated perspective of pan-Asian cultures and civilization. Exhibits are spread over 11 galleries and include artifacts, paintings, instruments, puppets and textiles from China, Southeast Asia, South Asia and West Asia. As well as having a restaurant, museum shop and a stunning view of the river, they hold a new exhibit every few months from different countries around the world.
The National Museum of Singapore is Singapore||s oldest and biggest museum. Designed to be the people||s museum, it prides itself on introducing cutting edge and varied ways of presenting history. There are 5 galleries each featuring a different theme from Pre-colonial history, food, photography, fashion to Contemporary art.
Singapore Art Museum is located inside a stunning 19th century building and has a staggering collection of over 7,000 of Southeast Asian||s finest art collections. The collection includes paintings, sculptures, drawings and photographs, as well as some spectacular pieces of work from Liu Kang and Frank Stella.
Arab Street is the centre of the Muslim community in Singapore and is well known for its amazing variety of textiles. There are an endless number of small shops selling everything from silk, cotton, lace, carpets and the most dazzling batiks in traditional Malay style. Location: Arab Street near Little India.
Little India is located on Serangoon Rd and is one of the oldest and most popular tourist markets in Singapore. Both Local shop owners and street venders can be seen selling everything you could possible imagine, from tantalizing aromatic spices to Indian music, handicrafts, cameras, silver, brassware, gold, silk and a stunning array of saris.
Orchard Road is very popular with local residents and tourist who come to shop in Singapore. Shopping malls, supermarkets, boutiques, electrical stores are plentiful and sell the latest in brand names. Also know as the entertainment district ,luxury 5 star hotels, restaurants, coffee shops and night clubs make this a shopper’s paradise.
